Bart Jordan is now 85 years of age. He was only eight years old as the core mathematician working on the Manhattan Project’s Trinity Test for the first nuclear bomb explosion in our era in 1945. He correctly predicted the sequence for its explosion – implosion – explosion measured in milliseconds. He was told it was for a test and that it could have been used to convince Japanese diplomats to end the war without using such a weapon on people. He and humanity were betrayed by those wanting wars to continue for global domination, greed, and fear.
Learning about the 72.3 pounds of plutonium on board NASA’s Cassini Earth “flyby” from a Press Release I wrote with Dr. Earl Budin, he called us to request his writing a commentary before the scheduled 18 August, 1999 Earth flyby. (Fortunately there was no inadvertent reentry into Earth’s atmosphere, which according to NASA’s own environmental impact statement could have exposed 5 billion people to the radiation on board.) This was the event that brought FlybyNews.com onto the scene working to reverse the direction of the arms race for life’s survival in the 21st Century.
After Jordan’s commentary on the NASA-plutonium “flyby” of Earth, it took us 15 years to get our first sit down recorded interview in the back of a bookstore in Dover, NH. Bart later told me he realized how all over the place he was back then. The above 09 August, 2018 interview shows a contrast to this first one..
However since that first telephone call he has remained consistent. He considers himself most effective as a metrologist, the lost art of measure. His article Measure Man’s Mind and Mind Man’s Measure, published in the journal of the New England Antiquities Research Association Volume # 14, Spring 1985, is simply eloquent. The following is its concluding statement.
“..Patient reader: we all know that musicians are supposed to emote and not think. However, before leaving you with this minor statement of major systems, this truncated report inviting a thousand queries, allow this musician some emotive thoughts about Man’s personal measure. From my former articles and foregoing account, it can be seen that much of what we are now may be measured against what we were then. And it is just this matter of measure that must be understood — the “we” of then and now.
We are historic; we were prehistoric. How do we measure ourselves? Our intellectual present versus our intuitive past? Originality versus aboriginality? Such notions as present Man is matchless and past Man is witless have little validity and less virtue. There is a difference between hidden harmony and apparent harmony, between mentality and ornamentality, between a thinking individual and a thoughtless society. In mindful time past, we honoured our grandparents; in mindless time present, we threaten our grandchildren.
Where are the measures of yesteryear? Blue Winter Mother, Green Spring Daughter, Yellow Year Person, Orange Autumn Son, Red Summer Father — a bow has been set in the cloud, a covenant made with the Earth. There be a message in these measures for a man’s family and for the Family of Man:
Love Creation and Created
Honour Moon, Sun, and Planet
Obey Time and Space
Obey Sound and Light
Honour Earth, Star, and Comet
Love Finite and Infinite
We have inherited more than the wind.
We have a measure of Man’s mind.
Jordan was a guest lecturer at five departments at the University of New Hampshire, Durham. He was a gifted guitar improvisation concert performer, who studied under the renowned Andres Segovia. Yet, on the side, he continued to work with the government and NASA on 3 key missions, Mariner 9 and Mars Viking 1 and Voyager 2. He knew from his receiving numbers entering his brain, and confirming such numbers by deciphering pre-ice-age languages to provide the measures of the two satellites of Mars to its center, and what was found in two key pictures from Mars Viking, 35A72 and 70A13. The bottom line on what is up there and on Earth is a clear warning to us of mass extinction unless humanity can evolve beyond war and abolish all weapons and technologies capable of the mass destruction to life. So by determining the miraculous in what happened from the Cassini Earth flyby in meeting Bart Jordan and the possibilities therein, Flyby News remains open minded for such a miracle for peace on Earth and being liberated by what is true.
